Welcome to Hogarth Primary School

Hogarth Primary School sits close to the town centre. It is a small, community school that is friendly and welcoming. Our warm, nurturing values ensure our members feel like part of the family.

At Hogarth we hold all our children’s needs – socially, emotionally and academically - at the centre of all we do. We expect the relationship between parent, teacher and child to be respectful and endeavour to work together to ensure our children reach their full potential. We work in partnership to support their growth and development and, together, have high expectations for the outcomes of the young individuals in our care. We teach our children to be independent and show them the importance of taking responsibility – that means a ‘no excuses’ attitude.

Our curriculum is broad and well balanced. We believe it is essential that all children make good progress in reading, writing and arithmetic; we also believe creativity is important. Many of us have artistic talents, so we enhance these skills through cross curriculum topics.

As a member of Hogarth School, you value the differing qualities of each individual. We share a vision to inspire and nurture; to be confident to challenge and dream of greatness. At Hogarth it is essential that all individuals are proud of themselves whilst respecting, valuing and celebrating other’s differences. Having a good knowledge and understanding of the world around you is essential - so one is to be able to show consideration for other’s cultures and religions.

“Pupils are respectful and they behave well in lessons and around school. They are confident and proud of their achievements and of the achievements of others in school.” Ofsted 2016
